RLC VOIP, Voice Over IP Works

Some of you may not be aware of this but the voice system is working in RLC. To find out if you are in an area that has it, open your friends box and if you see a mic and or speakers next to the names then it is working.
This means, if you have a mic that is active at home and are in these areas, VOIP, Voice Over IP, then every sound that crosses your mic at home will be heard by anyone else in that area. This is true in bedrooms, at least the ones i checked out and likely all of them, the meeting rooms upstairs in the hotel and anywhere else the VOIP is set to work. Again, check your Friends box to see if you are in an area that has it. Also, the mute option in the RLC Friends box does not seem to work so don't rely on that for muting your Mic.
It also means that any sound anyone else makes in one of these areas will come across your speakers and there may be comments made that you do not want broadcast into your living room. These sounds can not be muted within RLC and can only be muted by shutting off your speakers at home, however you do that.
For those of you who would like some chat time with friends, check it out.
You may have noticed WRLC Radio has been off the air for a bit today and yesterday. I’ve been sorting things out with the sound system and the VOIP. Every time I went into an area that had VOIP, I was picking up the sounds from peoples homes and they were all being broadcast over the radio.
***, did you take out the garbage?
*****, that must have been some dress!
****, I’m not EVEN going to quote that one…..
You get the idea. The voice system is a fantastic addition to RLC, enjoy it. Just make sure who your audience is.
