Contemplation

Tears in my soul penetrating every depth
The sadness overwhelming, the sorrow unbearable
How to recover to regain control
Is all hope lost, the light fading
Looking for inspiration, looking for life
A reason to breathe, to exist, to go on
Is this all I am? All I can be, is there no more?
Is this life worth saving? Will anyone care?
The darkness of the world bearing down
Lifeless, I contemplate who am, I? What am I?
To be of significance, is that to be valued?
Will anyone notice, if, I fade away? Will I?
A sign of hope is all that’s needed to survive
Hope of happiness or contentment
To be no longer at odds, to accept reality
Who will notice me who will speak my name?
