Gains, Losses and happy endings in the Verse....

Well, here we are in the second week of February and new years eve seeming so distant now, as sooo much goes on. As I took some time away from my work on here, I decided to wander the verse as I haven't taken time to do that for a while. I participated in some QA and wanted to see if they had yet made any changes in the regular 3d clients and also just to see other parts of the Verse again. I notice several private clubs have closed down and a few areas slightly devoid of hustle and bustle, but then I found several new ones that have recently opened. I also found several new places to explore and new doors to peek into. The Verse is an everchanging world and like the very real world we live in, is full of the every day movement that we all sway, almost unnoticed to. There is a rthym that lurks in the shadows, enveloping all of us as we move by. LIfe is always happening and we tend to not notice the sutble nuainces as we travel along our own paths.

All of us, whether on here or in real life, have suffered losses, both of the human kind and the many varied other kinds of loss. There have been good friends that have actually died in real life, yet are mourned in the verse as honestly and truly as those in the real world mourn. Other times we mourn the loss of friends, that for whatever reason leave us on the verse or even that simply have to lose their vip for the time being. We mourn for the losses of places in real life and in the verse that hold memories. Some are from long ago, while others are still fresh in our minds. As I came to the doorways of several such places on here that no longer allowed us entry, those memories came flooding back. Times spent there to be no longer, but yet fresh in my memories. We mourn for things we precieve as lost, but yet we hold dear to our memories. We walk through life and remember, albeit see, things that made us truly feel something and that allowed us to keep those memories fresh and clear.

Now, as I came to a new, different door, I found that there was something new to discover, perhaps a new world of wonder lay behind that door. I have to know, I have to allow the explorer in me out to click on and open that door. I had to see what it was that waited for me....

In our times of both gains and losses in the verse, as in real life, the simple act of seeing what is behind that new door is one of those happy endings, for to take the time to turn the handle and go beyond it, is truely what living is all about. Don't ever be afraid to go through those doors and remember, while growth can be painful at times, life is simply made to live large. Go for it!!
