The Rose, Rocking out in Historic Gastown...

First I must apologize for this story being held up so long. Due to my commitments inworld during the last month with UtherPride and Granville in Motion, I was unable to put out as much content here at the paper as I would have liked. Never the less, I am happy to report that The Rose is going strong and doing quite well, so please dear readers, enjoy this article on this wonderful venue and get over there soon as I am sure you will find The Rose to be a grand place to spend a lot of time! Also, I will shortly be doing a follow up as this venue holds much in the way of entertainment and much more and the folks that run it are such great people.

The Rose, a new venue that very recently opened it's doors in Historic GasTown in Virtual Vancouver welcomed me into their club the other night and I'm very pleased they did. The Rose is the labor of love by the Belvanes and truly that love shows big time. Entering it's doors you find yourself taken back in time as you enter into a medieval stonewalled hallway, at the end of it you enter the main room that is wide open and filled with a huge dance floor, complete with a huge rose laden fountain at one end of it. Roses are of course the theme and are everywhere! Live dj's playing a variety of hot tunes and taking requests, making all feel comfy and welcome. There is a huge full bar along one side of the room, plenty of seating areas, tables and chairs all around, including some more private seating areas and to top it off, along both sides, over looking the dance floor, are smaller alcoves with couches and tables for more intimate conversations and places for friends to gather to talk while enjoy the dancers below.

Now, off to the rear of the floor, you will find the "Rose Thorn Alley", complete with a number of interesting doorways. Depending on your mood and/or interests, perhaps you will find "just what your looking for" behind one of these inviting doors. There is dungeons, bedrooms and well... you get the idea. And for the voyeur in all of us, there are windows inset along the hallway to allow us to glimpse into some of the rooms and don't be surprised at what you see through them, hehehehee

But the final doorway holds my favorite area, "The Rose Garden". You exit into a lovely garden complete with a view of a medieval castle and twilight sky. There is a large fire pit with stone seating, a great large hot tub and a lovely dance floor with swimming fish underneath! The perfectly trimmed hedges offset with, of course, roses truly make this both a relaxing and romantic setting to say the least! I was told that this area is fast becoming "the" place for weddings and I can certainly see why!

The folks that made this place happen and welcome all into their "place in the Verse" truly made something special with this venue and I encourage all to come in and find out for yourselves and I am sure you will be mesmerized by it's beauty and friendliness and feel sooo welcome by those that work so hard to make it fun and comfy for it's guests! Come in and say helloooo to Belinda_XOX ceo, Dana_XOX coo, Amanda_XOX gen. mgr or to be honest, any one of the great staff there, tell em Chyna said to say hello and I am more than sure you will find out just how wonderful and welcoming these folks are, just as I did!
