The 2009 Utherverse Peoples Choice Awards

"Saturday, the 18th of July, a night that will live long in the memories of all that were there! The night was alive with the energy from the huge numbers that turned out for this user event, and what an event it was! Over 120 people at one time all there to see, be seen and enjoy the awards ceremony and party, both before and after. Many were dressed to the nines and all were there to truly bask in the love and fun of the evening. The DJ's were rocking the house and the dance floor was never less than full all night. Many were scattered all over as well, and Shockers was truly "electric"!!  The 2009 Utherverse Awards ceremony was on and it was huge!!"  

       As you entered Shockers club in Virtual Vancouver, who were the hosts this year, it was the full on red carpet treatment. The decorated short flight of steps into the main room let you know you were in for a special night indeed. The main club was full early, as so many were there to cheer on this years winners in many categories, as well as the nominees and winners themselves. Kathy Love, who was highly instrumental in doing so much of the work in making these awards happen and to make the awards night go as smoothly as possible, was there making sure to name names of nominees and winners that were in the house. Also, she showed her love and caring with her dedication to making and keeping up the website and doing updates so that we all knew the nominees. Huge props go out to her for all she did this year for sure.

       There were many wonderful people on the lists of nominees for the 2009 Utherverse Awards and while they are all winners in most of our books, there has to be defined winners and there were so many truly deserving folks that took the titles this year. I will list some of the standout titles and also include a link at the bottom to the web page so you all can see all the names, as there are many categories.

Also I will add my own thoughts, please go to these venues, or just when you run into these folks on the streets, make sure you give them your congrats and encouragement, as it was you that voted for them. Also, a lot of these wonderful people do have business or are connected to venues or services throughout the Verse, so please lets continue to support them all, as they truly are standouts in our little world! Also again, give your love to Kathy Love for all her hard work in this major Verse event!! And know there was sooo much love and care from all of you that took your time to vote for your faves and to you all, hugeee kudos!!

We always so enjoy events such as these and I for one, cant wait till the next one! Please keep in mind that this is a user event and not an Utherverse Event, but this simply goes to show all of the residents of the Verse, if there is interest and with creative people working hard, these events can, and will, certainly rock the Verse.
